The Strategy department draws up a vision for the development of the regional territory, supported by initiatives such as the Regional Sustainable Development Plan (PRDD) (FR) and the Regional Designated Land Use Plan (PRAS) (FR). This development is framed by regulatory provisions such as the Brussels Spatial Planning Code (CoBAT) (FR) or the Specific Land Use Plans (PPAS) (FR).

In this context, the Strategy department sets out the planning for the priority hubs (definition studies, masterplans, management plans, etc.) and lays the foundations for concrete development.

Finally, the aim is to build networks of urban actors, both at the metropolitan and international levels.
